A typical industrial narrow gauge scene, replicated in a part of the works that visitors don't often see. The area behind one of the sheds is used for storing building materials. Locomotives don't often venture in here, but on this occasion, Simplex Number 36 Cnicht is being turned round on the small wagon turntable.

Eryri - Polish LYd2 350 HP - there are three of these locos on the railway. Geared originally for pulling long sugar beet trains across the plains of Poland, these locomotives are ideal for steady speeds over the steep gradients of the Welsh Highland Railway.
