The new signal box, built by Peter Booth, now completed. As well as being a superb sight for our visitors, it will also prove itself invaluable for the operating crews, given Porthmadog's often less than desirable weather.

Myfanwy Roberts, widow of the late Goronwy Roberts, and her son, recommission Russell during the 90th birthday celebrations. Goronwy was one of Russell's original drivers, and both he and Myfanwy have been staunch supporters of the railway since the preservation movement was started.

A rare photograph of Sinembe, one of the locomotives awaiting restoration at Gelert's Farm Works. This photo shows it in its 'as built' condition, with the exception of the 'organ pipe' whistle. It was built in 1926 by Bagnall, No. 2287. This photo was taken at Tongaat, Natal in South Africa.
