The ambitious list of improvements to be carried out over the winter has meant that work on the LyD2s has had to wait. Maintenance and improvements to the diesels can be carried out at any time during the year. Much of the work in and around the Big Shed and at Pen-y-mount would be difficult to undertake during the operating season. However, we are hoping that once the season begins we will be able to find time to do little more to the polish Diesels. A new set of springs for LyD2 No.58 is a high priority, almost as great as the need for padded seats in No.69.
