From the minor road, this is a view southwards to Pen-y-Mount Station. The original trackbed runs under the vegetation on the left whilst the existing (1980) railway is on the right, running parallel for a while then diverging away to the right, towards the northern end of Porthmadog. Soon there will be a level crossing under the photographer's feet.
