Over the weekend of the 26th - 27th October 1997, the volunteers of the Welsh Highland Railway held their fourth annual gala known as Dirty Chappies IV.

LYd2 No. 69 Eryri arrives at Porthmadog station with the passenger train. At 415hp, this is the most powerful 2' gauge locomotive in the UK, dwarfing its coaching stock behind.
