A Special Barmouth Barker Service headed by 37 427 'Bont-y-Bermo' heralded the first locomotive-hauled train north of Barmouth Bridge for decades. Passengers were delighted to find a train service operating on our line to mark the event.

The Class 37 Special had continued west from Porthmadog. Here it is seen returning again.
