A Special Barmouth Barker Service headed by 37 427 'Bont-y-Bermo' heralded the first locomotive-hauled train north of Barmouth Bridge for decades. Passengers were delighted to find a train service operating on our line to mark the event.

Many travellers on the Special took the opportunity to ride with Kinnerley and its train. Here it is returning to Porthmadog from a round trip to Pen-y-Mount.
