A Special Barmouth Barker Service headed by 37 427 'Bont-y-Bermo' heralded the first locomotive-hauled train north of Barmouth Bridge for decades. Passengers were delighted to find a train service operating on our line to mark the event.

As it arrived from the south, the Class 37 Special is seen drawing into Porthmadog (standard gauge) station. The narrow gauge WHR station and train are seen here in the foreground.
