A Special Barmouth Barker Service headed by 37 427 'Bont-y-Bermo' heralded the first locomotive-hauled train north of Barmouth Bridge for decades. Passengers were delighted to find a train service operating on our line to mark the event.

Approaching Porthmadog, the Class 37 Special saw the waiting WHR train in the narrow-gauge station. At the head of the small train stands Kinnerley, a Ruston & Hornsby 40DL.
