“Russell” is one of the most famous narrow gauge steam engines in the world, and also the flagship of the Welsh Highland. Built in 1906, he is the only surviving engine from the original railway, and has survived despite many near misses with the scrapman. “Russell” is currently out of service for major overhaul.
